2 Belts or Frankie?

Frankie Edgar

Looks like Frankie Edgars assumptions of not getting his shot at Conor McGregor are looking real.

Even though everyone, fans and UFC alike, can agree that Edgar is next in line for a shot at the UFC featherweight belt, it seems like UFC Dana White is bowing down to McGregor’s request of moving up and challenging for the lightweight belt against Rafael Dos Anjos, while holding on the fetherweight belt. After Dos Anjos win against Donald Cerrone, many wondered if McGregor would indeed move up, White is leaning towards it.

McGregor Dos Anjos Edgar

From Dana White’s recent appearance on UFC Tonight:

“Conor said he’d like to win the 155lbs belt, fight four times a year, and defend both belts. If anybody can, he could. He’s done everything he said he would. I’m interested. Normally I’d say, if you move up in weight, you have to give up the belt. He wants to fight. He really likes money. If anyone can do it, it’s him.”

McGregor has been at featherweight since entering the UFC, and recently winning the featherweight championship over Jose Aldo at UFC 194. However he has competed at lightweight when he was with Cage Warriors.

Does he have a good chance against Rafael Dos Anjos? Or should he stay at featherweight and fight Frankie Edgar?

Decisions decisions.
