We all have those people on our social media who like to post sad and depressing quote just so someone could ask them “What’s wrong?” We never take them serious because that’s who they are and what they do.
Which is why I’m a little worried as to why Ronda Rousey would be posting such an uncharacteristic quote. From her official Instagram page.
The quote is from Shakespeare’s play Twelfth Night or What You Will.
Ronda Rousey has pretty much fallen off the radar since her UFC 193 loss to Holly Holm. Long gone seem the days where we would see her all over our televisions commercials, big box office movies, social media feeds, or hear about her on the radio.
After such a crushing defeat, a huge fall from grace, her sister saying a part of Ronda died that night, and now a cryptic instagram post, one has to wonder where Ronda Rousey’s head is at. Where as she always used to post inspirational pictures, we would always see her smiling, and we saw her all the time, she seems to have taken the loss very, very hard, which is understandable. Hopefully those close to her can help her keep her mindset in the right place.
But maybe I’m reading too much into it. Maybe she’s just been busy with all her other projects.
Womens MMA will always be indebted to Ronda Rousey. Whether or not she comes back remains to be seen.
